Choose one of the first three puzzles to practice. Compare the upper and lower pictures in small sections: a fish, a shell, then the nearby plant. Check color and outline before moving on. Follow the same route through both pictures, such as left to right across the water and then along the bottom. The broad changes at level 1 make a useful starting point. You do not need to know the names of the animals to play.
At level 2, compare fins, stripes and clear marks on familiar shapes. Level 3 asks for a closer look at leaf tips, shell patterns and small details of the scene. At levels 4 and 5, similar coral branches and repeated decorations make searching harder. Compare each feature with the corresponding one in the other picture; a general impression that a reef looks different is not enough. All levels still have five answers. Keep the same viewing size when moving between levels.
When someone gets stuck, suggest checking the pond bottom, a plant or one side of the reef. Let the player choose the changed feature. Take turns describing discoveries: say what is different and where it sits relative to a nearby fish or shell. A pencil circle on the lower printed picture keeps track of found changes. On screen, point them out or explain them aloud. There is no automatic scoring when you click the image, and a timer is optional.
Count your discoveries as you go. If four have been found, revisit the sections you have not compared carefully instead of opening the answer immediately. When ready, reveal the numbered answer and read the five descriptions. Locate each feature in both pictures so you can check whether your discovery matches. Close the answer and try another scene at the same level before going higher. Pause when searching becomes tiring; expert puzzles are intended for patient close comparison.
Choose A4 or US Letter to match the paper in your printer. Print in color at high quality: deliberate changes of color may disappear in grayscale. Use 100% scale if the margins fit, or the printer’s Fit setting if an edge clips. Each individual PDF contains two pages, with the puzzle first and its answer second. Give the player page one and keep page two aside. A pencil is sufficient; no scissors, glue or extra materials are needed.
The complete collection contains 30 pages: all 15 puzzles first, followed by their 15 answers in the same order. Answers begin on page 16. Print a few selected pages before making the whole book. Small reef details need the full sheet, so avoid putting several puzzles on one page. On a phone, open the full PNG and enlarge it to inspect a feature, then compare the same area in both pictures. Keep both pictures at an equal size rather than enlarging only one.
Yes. Enlarge a pair, compare both pictures and reveal the answer when ready. Clicking objects does not score discoveries automatically.
The level describes how hard the changes are to find. Large isolated changes are easier; small features among similar objects require closer comparison.
One intentional change to an object or its feature. A changed color, missing petal or altered pattern each has one number in the answer.
