Start with a bunny holding a carrot, peeking from a cup, sleeping on a cushion or carrying a balloon. These four easy pictures use six colors and broad spaces. The four medium worksheets use ten colors and introduce a tulip pot, a toy boat, a mushroom house and a picnic basket. Detailed pictures use twelve colors and combine bunnies with a carrot garden, a woodland bakery, a flowering tree or a patchwork quilt. The three expert sheets have many more numbered spaces. Every card shows its actual space count, so compare the previews before choosing.
Choose by the size of the spaces and the time you want to spend, rather than age alone. A child can finish one object and return to the rest later. Pick pencils for the more detailed sheets; a broad marker is easier to use in the simple pictures. The designs are playful illustrations, so a pink bunny or a purple ear follows the printed key rather than realistic animal coloring.
Each download is a two-page A4 PDF. Page one contains the numbered worksheet and its color key; page two contains the matching colored answer with the same key. Print page one for the activity and keep the second page on screen until checking time. Select A4 paper, portrait orientation and actual size or 100%. Check the smallest numbers before starting. If your printer clips an edge, fit to the printable area and confirm that the numbers remain readable.
The key stays inside every downloadable PNG and WebP too. In each PDF, the swatches also have written English color names. For black-and-white printing, read those names and test your pencils on scrap paper. Put another sheet under the page when using markers and test whether the ink shows through.
Find one number in the key, choose its pencil and point to a matching number inside the drawing. Color that space, then search for the same number elsewhere. A repeated shade can belong to a bunny, a flower or a basket; neighboring regions do not necessarily use the same color. Recheck the key when switching worksheets because the number identifies the color on that particular sheet. Leave the exterior background and unnumbered white gaps white.
When a small number is hard to read, open the large preview before guessing. Compare the finished page with its answer one object at a time. If a color was mixed up, find its number in the key and put the correct pencil beside it for the next region. A similar shade is fine when your pencil set does not match the printed swatch exactly; consistency across the repeated number matters.
Print another copy and write a new color beside each number in the key. Keep one chosen color for each number throughout the picture. Try cool colors on the bunny and warmer colors in its surroundings, then compare which version makes the character easier to see. You can also color only one object first and describe the setting it belongs to. For a different activity with the same subject, use the related bunny coloring pages, paper cutouts or drawing lesson.
