Choose a cat together

Start with the picture your child notices first. A seated kitten, a sleeping cat or a big bow has broad spaces for crayons. Garden and window scenes offer more objects to color, while the greenhouse and library give patient colorists smaller details. The age labels are suggestions: you can color just the cat, skip the background, or return another day.

Make room for a story

Put crayons or colored pencils within reach and let your child choose the palette. A purple cat or a striped cushion can belong in the story. Ask a small question such as, “What is your kitten looking at?” or “Where will it nap next?” You can color beside each other or give the cat a name. For markers, put scrap paper underneath to protect the table. Taking a break is fine; finishing every space is optional.

Print the right size

Choose the PDF that matches your paper: A4 or US Letter. Print at actual size or 100%. Each sheet includes white margins; if your printer clips an edge, try fit to printable area. Black-and-white printing is enough. Keep a second copy if your child wants to try a new set of colors.

Frequently asked questions

Are the cat coloring pages free?

Yes. Every design is free to download as PNG, A4 PDF or US Letter PDF, without an account.

Which pages are easiest for a young child?

Try the seated kitten, sleeping kitten or kitten with a bow. They have large spaces and few background objects. Choose by your child's interest and comfort.

How do I print without cutting off the picture?

Use the PDF for your paper size and print at 100% or actual size. If an edge is clipped, choose fit to printable area.

Can my child use any colors?

Yes. Realistic fur, rainbow stripes or an invented pattern all work. The child can choose how much of the scene to color.
